On our second full day in the beautiful town of Tours we took a short ride out to check out the stunning Chateau De Chenonceau. It’s rightly one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Loire Valley – built over the River Cher and supported by several pillars it’s a magnificent piece of architecture. You could easily spend a whole afternoon exploring the Chateau and its grounds but we decided to push on to the delightful Medieval town of Amboise for some lunch. Amboise has its own magnificent Chateau famous for being the burial place of Leonardo Da Vinci in 1519.
On returning to our bikes we bumped into James and Anne who were touring two up on an Africa Twin.
And so back to the hotel for our final night in Tours where we celebrated witha fantastic Michelin Starred meal and some of the finest wines we’d ever tasted! A fitting end to or 3 night stay in a perfect place.
Our route then took us North to visit Le Mans. The plan was to see the famous Museum but sadly our timing was out – with only 4 days before the big race itself, we discovered that many roads were closed to traffic including the one to the museum. Instead, we consoled ourselves with a coffee and eclair at the Endurance cafe next to the race track.
Our final destination (in the next episode) was to stay in a family run Chateau near Alencon but on our way we found another coffee stop in the beautiful village of St. Ceneri-de-Gerei, voted one of the prettiest villages in France!
We hope you enjoy this latest video and please feel free to comment share and like! Thanks for watching!

I have said this before but the quality of your travel videos is second to none – thanks for sharing them.
Midlife Motorcycle Diaries, nice content keep it up dude
Was that a Priorite a Droite in Amboise? Riding in France requires your attention at all times. Great video guys and I'm with you on relaxed no rush touring.
I like the vid very nice !!greats Klaus
wow the Chateau is stunning, have you visited Fountainbleu? Once again a fantastic video, cheered up my day as I'm stuck at work today 🙂
Beautiful chateau grounds are stunning lovely hotel,
Another great video 😊,
loving the trip and thanks for sharing – Guinness mmmmm
Exquisit! Tre bien! Lovely tour with lots of magnificent Châteaus…..as you said , ˋHow many Châteaus can you see in a day´? Difficult part of the day is getting in comfortable clothes (if you can) for those long royal passages . I wish you Brian and Sue a further enjoyable and safe journey. Always a pleasure being taken along…..thanks for the hard work.
A galette is a crepe made from buckwheat flour
Another brilliant episode. Looking forward to the next one.
I've said it elsewhere before. To the British biker that has not been over channel, or indeed a seasoned tourer. Brittany, Normandy, Pas de Calais & down to Loire valley is great for a summer break. As for the scenery, somewhat like England, yet so French.
Love your relaxed travel style. Riding just 1.5 hours before the next coffee stop or a spot of lunch is right up my alley. And staying 2-3 days allows plenty of time to fully enjoy the area. Excellent viewing!
😀Gidday Brian and Sue, Great job on the video and another fun part of the Adventure. Good to take in all the sights that was on offer and go Mr Bean haaaaaa. Great stuff Cheers paul.👍👍🍻🍻
Well done guys, a most enjoyable experience following on with your tour. Whilst we have some outstanding rides here in Australia the access to multiple cultures from your UK doorstep must be truly amazing. Architecture, food & people – soak it in. 🦘🇦🇺
Enjoyed it. I love Amboise. You retraced my steps, or tyre marks should I say.
Look forward to the next one. Vive la France!☝️😎
spot on again
Great footage, love the channel
Be careful France, there been an increase in bike thefts. Organised crime ( from someone who’s in the Uk police.)
What an awesome ride and video! Really enjoy video travels!!!
Enjoyable episode thanks. The Michelin star restaurant food looked fabulous. You don't mind paying a substantial bill if the food and the service is top notch.
The village towards the end looked beautiful, reminded me a little of a Cotswolds village. I think we prefer those areas to the tourist central place like the chateau.
Not often a hotel gets a row of 5s 👍👍
Good morning very enjoyable video can i ask have you got any more trips around the UK planned that would be nice even better north Devon so very jealous of you both 😊
