Really keen on learning how to air out of quarters, I understand this is a small one and that makes it harder, however it’s less scary. Watching this back I feel I needed more speed but in the miniramp it felt like I was going so fast. Also ate in front of some groms, and the shame hurt more than the pain.

    2. Honestly, your technique looks pretty good. Finding something around 6ft tall with a normal transition is going to be so much easier, the bigger the ramp it slows down the airing motion you do even though you are going faster at it. Falling is part of the game, who cares, if falling wasn’t in the equation then anyone could do this.

    3. on that last one, it appears you simply got too tired and became unable to modulate your transition. all your weight went forward and left you unable to recover. in time, you’ll have more stamina to keep the rhythm going.

that’s also a really small ramp so it doesn’t give you a lot of time to react. like others have said, a taller ramp will suit your technique better. but that was a nice place to start regardless since you’re learning. you already have the skill to take it up notch, just keep it consistent and commit so the nerves don’t decide for you. a bigger ramp will help you conserve energy, and give you time to actually react to the physics of airing out.
