Just wanted to show our bikes.
Me and my gf both ride Marin. I've got the Marin Alpin Trail XR, I changed a few things on it. Put a Hope wheelset on it, a OneUpcomponents 210mm dropperpost and recently ShiGura mt5 brakes with 2.3mm TRP rotors.
This bike is a beast in descending, never felt like I did too much. I also do uphills with it, it's still a pretty good climber.

The Marin of my GF has also changed a bit. I put in a Rockshox Revelation fork instead of the standard fork. And I changed the drivetrain into XT, makes a big difference.
Also put a dropperpost on it.

The green bike is a Nicolai Argon. It's a handmade, German bike. It's not a big brand, all bikes are handmade in their "little" shop.
But man, the details on such bikes are incredible well made.
It's a very light and agile bike with 160mm of travel at the front. And ofcourse also a dropperpost.

We live in the Netherlands, that's where I use the Nicolai the most.
But a lot of weekends we go to the bikeparks in Germany and than I take the Marin ofcourse. In the holidays we always go to either Switzerland or Italy.

Hopefully by end of 2025 we will be living in Switzerland, so the Nicolai will be sold in the future.
