I went to California to sell my gin to Americans and dropped in on Jay Leno. He gave me a tour of his garage and I asked the vital questions – such as: “Where can I buy the best burger in LA?”, “How fast is your 1000bhp Rolls Royce?”, “Why put a helicopter engine in a motorbike?”, “Will your jet car run on my gin?”, “Will electric cars save the internal combustion engine?” and, most importantly, “Who dusts all this stuff?”

Thanks again to @jaylenosgarage showing me around.

  1. Two absolute legends.. Jay such a great guy, if I had the cash, I'd do the same he's doing.. Enjoying time and creating a world class collection. Hidden luxury is the fact that pretty much everything there runs, is kept and clean.

  2. Imagine how many old men are sitting on the riches of the Pharaohs, billiions of dollars. While the rest of us scramble over crumbs. The only thing Jay did for humanity was sell advertising space.

  3. We need to download his knowledge. He knows every car’s info, history, work they’ve done to it, when he drove it last, amazing.
Love that everything works and is actually driven on the road

  4. Gin! Gin! Gin!
The first car is named after someone who, with ideals, decided to risk his life for them.

    The ideals of Democracy.

Because he gave his life to defend Democracy, we owe him the social freedom we have.

  5. Jay Leno for 'Grandfather of the world'… May: "what if the regulator snaps off while you are pushing it?" Leno: "Well then you're F***ed… that's sort of the fun" — Awesomeness indeed!

  6. I can't afford a car but am a car nut and I can afford gin but I really don't like it. Despite that, I love Jay Leno and James May. Not sure if that balances out but I'm ok being called unbalanced 😁.

  7. Love the car with the Merlin engine! Years ago I got to see a Gen 4 Trans Am with an engine out of a helicopter. I don't remember the helicopter model but almost all the dash gauges were from the helicopter. It was an amazing car.

  8. Jay proceeds to tell a story about how a man cared about England so much he left his home country and gave his life for England.
May” so where did you get the engine from”….

  9. I really can’t tell if they hate each others nationalities or person from this 😂

But I hope James doesn’t dislike Americans. Being a fan of his that’d be kinda depressing

  10. James May Sir at least act a little bit enthusiastic, I would be jumping for joy seeing Jay Lenos garage. But you had more enthusiasm than a piece of stale bread

  11. Finally Jay Leno meets someone that deserves the same level of respect. Two fine gentleman, completely different at the same time as being so very similar.

  12. Love the channel, but there's something that I feel needs attention. Jay does not do well with comedians. Is he intimidated? Hopefully not, as Jay is gifted and so enjoyable on his game. We love Jay!
