Nice one! I was in Edinburgh a month ago at the start for The Fringe. The city was PACKED OUT!
You missed the most important part or feature, the Thistle Chapel, where all the Thistle Nights sit with the Monarch, Thistle Nights are the highest order in Scotland, just like the Nights of the Garter in England, to become a Night of the Thistle, the Monarch is the only person who can grant that order nobody else can,its a gift of the Monarch for service to the Crown ,just outside of the main door of the cathedral is the grave and resting place of John Knox, who's house is just hundreds yards away down the Royal Mile, he was a very important figure in Scottish History.
Victoria Street was apparently the inspiration for Diagon Ally
I was in Edinburgh in the late 80s I remember in relation to your PG tips comment, The guest house put one tea bag in side the pot, Even in France we have Sainsburys Red label. and Even Trwinnings Early Grey is the best. The museum of Scotland looked good.. Wallace the tour guide wow what a man he must be in his 80s, Serious black metal headstone had a electronic chip in it unbelievable and found in California. Excuse me Jay you cut of Karolinas star line " Next Video " and to top it of her face was hidden by the Chester video on the screen. bring back Karolinas " Next Video " line back please,
Have a lovely time in Scotland
You guys missed The Elephant House which i think JK Rowling wrote her first HP book there. I did the fringe last year and watched 2 shows. The place was so packed but great vibes.
Not sure how Karolina would have felt you wearing a Scottish kilt ? đŽ

St Giles WAS a cathedral for just four years after the present building opened on the site of an earlier one. Since 1560, when the Scottish Reformation took place, its official title has been "High Kirk of Edinburgh." The Church of Scotland uses several other former cathedrals thaat are sill known as such – Glasgow, Dunblane, Dunkeld, Brechin and Dornoch among them. The Scottish Episcopal Church and the Roman Catholic Church also have cathedrals in Scotland, that are real ones! The Royal Mile – with the Castle at one end and the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the other, is also not a modern mile! The 'temporary stadium' is erected on the castle esplanade every summer, primarily for the Royal Military Tattoo, which takes place six nights a week during the Edinburgh International Festival, during August. Nelson's Column, on Calton Hill, is a navigational aid for shipping out in the Forth Estuary as, right at the top is what looks like a flagpole, but instead of a flag it has a large gold-coloured ball that rises up to the top of the pole around noon each day. It then drops, just a few seconds before 1pm and this serves as the signal to soldiers on the castle to fire the One o' clock gun – at the sound of which you can immediately tell the difference between Edinburgh residents and visitors in Princes Street and the gardens, as the visitors gasp with shock, while the residents check their watches! Seriously – the ball is the visual aid and the simultaneous canon shot is an audible one because back in the days of coal fires, the city was invariably shrouded in smoke, when it was known as "Auld Reekie," reek being a Scottish word for smoke. It is also common during the cooler months for dense haar to roll in off the sea and so shroud all it's landmarks in fog so thick that you can't even see the top of the Scott Monument when stood right next to it!
How cute were the family that recognised you guys! They were so lovely what a super cute interaction.
Iâve also become obsessed with watching your content. Itâs so nice to watch. â¤
Also I did the ghost hunt in greys cemetery at midnight it was awesome! So spooky and we went into the Mackenzie tomb! Highly recommend.
do the coast of west scotland north, it's bliss!
Edinburgh is nice BUT overly touristy unfortunately đ
When you were in St. Giles Cathedral I hope you viewed The Thistle Chapel. Visiting Edinburgh during August is always busy. But if you want the true experience of Scotland, yes visit the cities but get up to the Highlands and Islands. Don't worry about the weather it changes every 5 minutes.
