I live in the city and use a bike share pretty often and have been considering buying a bike, when my landlord came to do an inspection of the unit she mentioned that this bike was left behind by a previous tenant a few years ago.

Besides the obvious cosmetic damage neither of the brakes work (obviously broken in second pic) tires are flat (haven’t checked if they hold air) the tires spin so the chain at least somewhat works.

I can’t find the model of the bike as the ID code has a ding in it obscuring some of the code. What I can read says WTU013CS.

    1. Depending on how long it’s been sitting with flat tires probably all you would need to do is replace the tires and tubes which is easy to do. After that ride it a bit and lube the chain, and you will probably be good to go

It would be an ok bike to get around town, if it fits you.  It’s not going to be a quick bike.

The rear brake is just disconnected and could be put back together – there’s a notch on the noodle where it clips into the bracket on the brake arm.

A tuneup is likely to cost $150 plus parts.

Check the tires for dry rot, they look ok but might be different if you get a close look at them.  Check the wheels for “true” which is for them to not wobble when you spin them.

    3. Doesn’t look like it’s in terrible condition, I don’t really see any rust, might be nice as a lil get around bike. It’s also a women’s frame, from a bygone era.
