In this Wednesday episode, Patrick and Stuart need to make repairs to the flashing around the chateau dormer windows to stop further water damage. They also prepare a large area in the potager (kitchen garden) for next year, and meet up with Tony and Jane to visit a local brocante.

Patrick u be very careful when ur on that ladder u need to buy a machine that can hoist u up and u can stand in it .❤
Seems like the rain gutters plus downspout get full with the down pour
The mirror frame is SO pretty. I hope you do a video on Stuart repairing it. Would so LOVE to see you paint a painting, not just the walls and fifth wall.😃❤️
Patrick, props for all the roof work. I for one hate ladder heights. Stuart and Patrick, you always seem to have a good outing with Tony and Jane. Even if you don't find any treasures, you'll still have great comradery for the day. 🫂
I need Patrick around my house!!
OMG I am so afraid of heights. It is a good thing you aren't. LOL Love your finds. 🥂
Just in case, for those who wonder what Stuart does, I think that one of Stuart's many jobs, although a hidden one, is to be a spotter when Patrick is on a ladder or scaffolding. It's an important job and I'm glad that he does it. Chateau today, gymnastics competitions tomorrow? On September 21, Patrick can toss leaves from the gutter to welcome autumn. LOL. I love the blue shirts, especially Patrick's. I love me a good print, and the way that y'all coordinate your clothing and set up a different background for us are some of the many seemingly small details that require thought, care, and thus time and work.
Great job Patrick, but you should see about getting some sort of safety harness working so high up. We all worry when you're working so high up.
Hi fellas! Scary roof escapades. God bless you and yours. Love, jenwhite and 😊❤😊
I am amazed at your ability to work at such heights on the ladder without safety harness.
Patrick, I appreciate that you have to improvise when you don't have the correct tools and you did a great job. One thing I would suggest, is a pair of gloves to protect both your hands and your wedding ring. I'm sure there must be some sturdy ones out there that are also close fitting to give you a good grip.
Your so brave to climb up that ladder! Yikes, I was so happy when you were down. So happy you are having some fun. All work and no play makes the Boys want to drink🤣🤣🥃
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Stuart and Patrick. I can’t begin to explain how terrified I get seeing you that high up on a ladder, Patrick. And filming while you were fixing things! I know these things must be done but do they make scaffolding that goes up that high? Maybe something that can attach to windows perhaps? I sound like an old biddy but oh my nerves😓
Interesting and fun video. ❤
Where does one go to learn all these amazing crafts that you are all so good at ❤
Patrick, I held my breath the entire time you were up on that ladder!!! Having to hate heights, I marvel at you being able to do that. You 2 always have a smile on your faces no matter what the task is at hand. HUGS
Patrick, I was so worried with you up on the ladder. I have a fear of heights. When I was young, I worked with a roofing company. I had no fear then. Now my legs start shaking, and so do my hands. I had a neighbor that always did my gutters, but he passed away last Xmas. Thankfully, my other neighbor cleaned my gutters. I didn't ask them to, but I am so grateful. I considered leaf guards, but my neighbors discouraged me. They said the leaves still get in, causing blockage.
That veggie plot is a nice size. Great sunlight as well.
The vases and tray are lovely. That mirror will be beautiful when repaired. I love that it has a stand built in.
Best wishes to you both.❤
Oh Patrick, that looks so dangerous. you need a cherry picker!
Great job on the gutters and flashing – the sound of the fountain and birds made a great soundtrack. You are very brave to climb so high!
I’m working on prep stuff too. Here’s hoping that the weather will cooperate next year. We had too much rain too, so my next door neighbors with many raised beds hardly have anything this year.
I’m glad you found items at the bait-and-switch brocant – wow, an amazing price for the mirror!
🙁Patrick, i have a concern for your safety when you are up so high, you can get ladder hooks that anchor the ladder to the gutter, it would stop a nasty fall, just a thought, by the way i love what both of you are doing, take care.
Have a lovely week
You should check on YouTube for guys that clean the stuff off of the roofing tiles and see about a conglaberation with them. You get your roof cleaned, and they get a free stay at your chateau. There are several to choose from in England
Good job guys!
Good grief, Patrick! You were in the nosebleed section! Your talents are unmatched! I love shopping with you guys! We have nothing in California that comes close to comparing! Thanks for taking us along!❤❤Love you guys!❤❤
Patrick & Stuart by chance do they have Leaf Filter for gutters in France like we have in the States? Could that be put on your gutters? Or due to the design not possible?
I am so afraid of heights I admire to Patrick for being able to go to that height of the gutters. Wow.
You are braver than I would be going up so high on the ladder. You did a great job. I really like the new treasures you found…❤
You both were being really brave up there.and so glad y'all met. Up with Tony and Jane Tell Jane where's her camera shes really enjoying herself
👍🏻
Patrick, I don't envy your DIY tasks. All those crazy chores are done on the top of a ladder, too.
The vases are lovely. The frame is a good buy for €10.
It's good to see Tony and Jane.
❤ from TX!
Aloha, great job way up there. The tray is stunning. Once the mirror is put in and repaird by such skilled hands, will be a conversation piece. Love it🪞🏰.
Might like to cut the ivy stems hear the base to reduce its growth, at the very least.
The frame is lovely
It’s a pity the climbers are so destructive because they are very picturesque 😊
I hold my breath every time you are on that tall ladder, Patrick!
You did an amazing job repairing those gutters.
Stuart, you were right there recording it all so diligently.
Love brocante shopping with you two. ❤❤
Patrick you scared me to death being on that tall ladder without having a harness on. I was so afraid you would fall. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Heureusement que vous savez tout faire. Bravo. De belles trouvailles à bientôt.
🐕🐕
I love that you seem to have a good balance with work and happy times ———————- your enjoying your best lives 👍
Thank you for taking us with you 🙏
Patriku skvělá práce na okapech. No kluci a musím říct že vám to oběma moc slušelo.
I thought u guys would of gone to Denise and Bretts opening at there Chateau .?
I’m not afraid of heights but darn it, Patrick, that freaked me out a bit! And you carry on like you’re just standing on the ground. That was a bit of a you know what clencher. 😅 Great vlog, as always.
I absolutely love the room you are in making this vlog. Cheers Shirley in Australia
Patrick please take care while using the ladder it worries me to see you going so high, cherry picker would be so helpful in this situation but I know they are expensive 😊
I love the wall paper
Excellent roof work Patrick not an easy job so high up.
