    1. Its a game for both riders, one is purposely not working, and the others try to pressure them into working, this is just a part of the game

    2. Lol, expecting the people to work for you when they are not with you. They dont gain anything with you finishing with a good time

    3. I usually cycle away more than I cycle to nowadaysโ€ฆ

Still may good keep me away from the cattle of nagging Karen – il would get ptsd just passing them

    4. Iโ€™m more and more convinced that the act of cycling turns people into arrogant, entitled nasty assholes. More and more of them are horrible on the roads

    5. When I first started racing a looong time ago, an older rider told me that if you're the type who worries a lot about what other people think of you, bike racing is not your sport. Sometimes you have to be a dick and make other riders do the work. Dirty faces win races.

    6. can someone explain to me this scenario and whats happening? i dont know anything about cycling culture and what not but it seems interesting.

    7. This is me on the trail when I ride up from behind someone and pass them because the pace that I've set for myself for the day is faster than the pace they've accept themselves, and as I pass them the accelerate, sometimes trying to run me off the trail or into the oncoming walkers or cyclists.

Then they try to hang with me, as if they're saying no you're not passing me I'm faster than you.

Like it's, bro, you were riding your ride I was riding my ride I'm passing you riding my ride and my pace.

I had a dude do this to me yesterday, killing himself to keep up with me, and eventually cut out a section of the trail across the road to get ahead of me and I still almost passed him a second time.

      Weirdo.

And I was riding casual, he looked to be about 10 years younger at least than my 50 something years and he definitely was about 70 lb lighter than me, his bike looked to be about as good as mine so he's kind of a twit. And it was also the last ride of my week as well. I'm not sure, but I think he was just starting his ride and I was halfway through a 20 mile ride when we met.

There's a lot of douches on the backs of bikes, I'm sorry but it's true.

This incident was not an isolated event but one of many anecdotes i've experienced as a solo cyclist.

    8. Cant really blame em i mean this sport is also part mind game where small things would affect the entire race like ruining another teams momentum or wasting their stamina or causing them to lose time

    9. Thatโ€™s bike racing .. as long as she pulls through gives a few peddle strokes before she comes off the front then so be it
