It was a HUGE deadline day for the Goalkeepers, so what better way to round-off the weekend than a GK’s chat!

Ben and Watto are here to discuss all the movers as all the pieces fell into place on the last day of the window which saw a number of top keepers swap clubs!

The most expensive keeper in the world – Kepa Arrizabalaga swapped Chelsea for Bournemouth and there was another move from London to the South Coast with Aaron Ramsdale joining Southampton from Arsenal.

Sam Johnstone’s move to Wolves was confirmed, Neto has joined Arsenal and Matt Turner left Nottingham Forest to join Crystal Palace.

One of the biggest stars of Euro 2024 has also joined the Premier League, but we won’t get to see him until next season. Giorgi Mamardashvili will continue to play for Valencia for this season, however he will be at Anfield next season, so what’s next for Liverpool’s Alisson.

    1. Kepa in Bournemouth gonna be a sleeper hit. He is legit perfect for Bournemouth 2 seasons ago. Hope it will be good for both.

Neto to Arsenal ? Thats i dont expected

    2. 43(soon 44) year old keeper from Finland here. Just wanted let you know how much I appreciate Keepers corner. I used to play on 2nd and 3rd tier here in Finland and now I’ve started playing again on the 6th tier after being away 10 years due to knee injury and multiple operations. KC (as well as FFI) is my weekly dose of motivation and I hope it will keep me going a couple of more years. Cheers!

    3. As for Areola save – I feel like if De Bruyne put his shot closer to the post, he wouldn't get there on time, as he was at full stretch already. Wonder if Areola would get that much praise about his positioning in such case, especially with always present "can't be beaten at near post". I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

    4. Quiz question:
Name a player that has captained 3 different teams while playing in the Premier league.

      Possible Answers:

      Scott Parker
West Ham United: Captained in the Premier League (2007–2011)
Newcastle United: Captained in the Premier League (2009–2011)
Fulham: Captained in the Premier League (2010–2013)

      Kevin Nolan
Bolton Wanderers: Captained in the Premier League (2004–2007)
Newcastle United: Captained in the Premier League (2009–2011)
West Ham United: Captained in the Premier League (2011–2015)

      Mark Hughes
Manchester United: Captained in the Premier League (1993–1995)
Chelsea: Captained in the Premier League (1995–1998)
Southampton: Captained in the Premier League (1998–2000)

    5. Hoping in goalkeepers corner you'll cover another poor performance from Onana. He was poor for 2nd and 3rd goals in my opinion. 3rd is particularly bad as again we see his poor positioning. Fed up with non goalkeepers saying shots against him are unsaveable when it's obviously his poor positioning and technique that make them look unsaveable.
