Hello everyone,
I am pretty much new to cycling and very unsure on how a kit should fit. This is the first outfit that I put together. As you can tell, I don't have the "typical" road cyclist body type which makes it a bit difficult to find the right size for me. I am particularly unsure about the fit of my bibs. From the behind pictures you can see quite a lot of wrinkles which seem to be gone when I am sitting on the bike. Is this a comfort issue and a early warning that it doesn't fit right? Also happy to here any other comments about the fit or suggestions! Many thanks!

You’re not going to be very visible to other road users.
My advice: there are other brands than pns and maap. You could have bought many outfits with the price of just that one. And dont take this personally because this is in general. You look like a clown to 99.9% of the people you see while riding so accept that no one gives a shit what you wear and how does it fit. Just wear what feels comfy and make you ride more.
This is bait
Bibs look a little too long. Full on hitting knee and back of knee crease even on bike.
New to cycling, brand new Canyon with SRAM AXS & PeNiS kit. Is this r/bicyclingcirclejerk ?
Kit looks fine, but more importantly your saddle is too high.
Bibs look to be a bit longer than necessary.
But more importantly what are you hiding in your calves?
Jersey fine, bibs too long.
Few of us have a “typical” road cyclist body b/c we aren’t pros and/or don’t have an eating disorder
“Full gear, no idea guy”
Howdy! I am a professional full time bicycle fitter of 19 years, less hip by the year but Reddit keeps me helps freshen my fashion ;).
Without a doubt, bibs too long. There were suggestions for Pearl Izumi bibs, I personally do like their chamois lineup snd think of them as the brand people get who don’t know better, but that’s the bike snob in me and they work perfectly fine for many folks. Who probably just haven’t tried anything nicer. 😜
Before you purchase your next bibs, get the measurements from your current ones and make sure that the inseam is an inch shorter on the next. Check out Velocio, they have an outstanding return policy and the ribs are pretty comfortable although the luxe bibs have very thick compressive material that might feel too much like sausage casing for your well formed quads. The jersey is fine but again u would benefit from something that is cut just a little differently while, still being formfitting.
You’re a saddle looks slightly too high, unless you have a major range of motion, limitation restricting the reflection of your ankle. try lowering it about 6 mm your handlebars look just a little too close, I would lengthen the stem about 1 cm. It is also possible that saddle needs to shift rear slightly, but too hard to say with the info we have here. When you are in the drops, if you bend your elbows slightly, are they jammed against your knees? This would be just a very basic limitus test for an overly compact cockpit. Thank you, that will be $375. 😆
Otherwise, welcome to the sport and have a blast out there!
