After going to my local bike shop a few days ago to try a couple options, and get some honest advice about what type of bike to purchase, I feel confident I made the right decision.

I had a 2022 Topstone 3 for a month or two back in 2022, but I wasn’t a fan of the 2-by and the bike felt heavy. I replaced that with a 2022 Dew Plus, which is a great commuter/cruiser that I’ve done some light rail trails with no issues. That will stay in my rotation, but I’m ready for an upgrade.

After I tried the Gravel 30, I immediately knew that I wanted electronic shifting. I went back again today to take the bike down a couple gravel roads, one with a climb, and it performed flawlessly.

This bike was more than I wanted to originally spend, but I really don’t want to be selling a bike in a year or two to upgrade or change platforms. My shop was very accommodating and sold it to me for $200 under MSRP. Which isn’t a big discount in comparison to some of the sales through other manufacturers right now, but this bike is already a pretty great overall package for $3,500.

Are there any accessories I need? Stoked about my first ride tomorrow!

Who else recently picked up an awesome upgrade?

NBD: Decided to fully send it on my first gravel bike. 2024 Scott Addict Gravel 30!
