I avoid busy roads at all costs. Cycling with vehicles skimming past me at high speed or indeed any speed is terrifying. Will always take a cycle path or trail if one is available.
You are still pretty fit Garry to cycle 80+ mile days back to back on your loaded touring bike. Chapeau.

I always take a quietr route. I've watched you cycling the Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst road and thought nope! Catching a train to Soton today to camp in the NF but quiet roads!
