The BEST and most BEAUTIFUL way to walk between Bristol and Bath!
I decided on a whim to do this walk, just the day before and I am so glad that I just went out and did it!
What a walk! It took me 10 hours at an extremely leisurely pace with lots of stop offs for refreshments, charging my equipment etc, but most people do it in a lot less time than that. Most reviews that I have read say that people do it in around 6 hours.
It was just SO beautiful. It takes a little while to leave Bristol behind, but you are soon out into glorious English Countryside.
In the video I mention The Warmley Wheelers who hire out bikes to people who might otherwise not be able to get out on a bike due to health conditions etc. Here is their website address: https://www.milestonestrust.org.uk/what-we-offer/warmley-wheelers/
I also mention a fellow YouTuber Jesse’s Channel. Its called ‘Jesse’s Grand Day’s Out’.

What a great video, I so envy you you and the walks you do and thanks for sharing, John.
PS. I’m off now to watch the boat trip video you mentioned.
Excellent video!
That was a lot of miles Louise, but I am glad you took it at a leisurely pace and enjoyed it as well as stopping off at some fab tea rooms and coffee stops.
The wall remains on one of the old platforms before you got to Warmley, were one part of Mangotsfield Station, where the Bristol – Bath Midland Railway met the Midland route towards Gloucester. It was a very large, but a not that well used, station, with 6 platforms.
Super stuff, and I loved the cats you met on the way and your music choices too.
Fab!

What A lovely long walk Louise, really enjoyed the video, thank you!👍👍👍
Thank you Louise, enjoyed watching. Another great video. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
What a fascinating video Louise. I really enjoyed watching this and the cat that almost stole the show 😂
I have to admire your stamina, Louise. Walked 17 miles and then go shopping. When I began watching, I thought that's a walk I would love to do. Until you said it was 17 miles. After that I'm not so sure. The railway attracts me and I loved the way they have left some of the platforms in place. Not having a car these days, I have to choose walks that I can get to fairly easily. To do that one, I would probably get the train to Bath and a bus to Bristol.
Lovely video Louise, I've only ever walked the path from Syston (the bit where the path curved on the bridge over the ringroad is very near me) to Bath once (and almost every weekend to Bitton) – I may have a stamp card for the Warmley Waiting Room! Absolutely love it there (you did capture the TARDIS in the background ;))
It's such a nice, flat route and so green, so enjoyable for a wander and I adore finishing at Bitton station.
P.S. Thank you for the mention 🙂
That looks a good walk. I often wondered about the cycle path – sorry, shared path 😊 but surprised that the highway code doesn’t stand there as walking on the right hand side is its advice. Did you hear many bells? Great video, Louise.
Whst a lovely video Louise 😊 such a nice walk! ❤
That was a wonderfully walkable walk, on what turned out to be a beautiful day. Thanks Louise.
Thanks for that lovely walk, Louise.
