Jan and I went on our favorite under 20 mile bike ride. It was a beautiful day in the Northwest Hills of Connecticut. We love to do this ride every chance we get. Come along with us as we relax on a Saturday afternoon.
The older we get, the more we enjoy a simple ride out in nature. Soon the leaves will turn and winter will be upon us. The cold season will show us a different kind of beauty. But for today, we revel in the warmth of summer.
Please let us know about your favorite bike rides! Jan and I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for watching and as always “Happy Pedaling”

Hey Steve- next week you can call me Amy retired and Cycling!! I’m retiring from my 9-1-1 job after 38 years down here in Groton!! You and Bryan (Ride Along Adventures) have inspired me to do what I love! I will be touring all over the United States!! By the way, Jan, YOU are AMAZING!! Love you both..
Lamoille Valley Rail trial is just below the house. Nice riding. Still in the boot until November and hopefully get on the bike then. Nice ride and you both look good. Take care, Al
Thanks Steve 😊
What a beautiful area to bike in on a glorious day for a ride!
Wow Amazaing
I live near Sarasota FL on the Gulf Coast. I love to ride the trails: The Legacy Trail, The Withlacoochie Trail, The Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail. I'm always in search of shade, and look forward to winter here!
On any given day you can probably find me somewhere on the Empire State Trail’s Hudson Valley part. Mostly the North County Trail in Westchester where I live. I also love Rockland County’s dirt and gravel trails and roads. I’ve logged over 4,000 miles in 2024.
My husband and I are preparing to do our first century since last century! It will be our first since 1994. He’s 63, I’m 62. Love being Retired and Cycling.
We have a lot of abandoned dirt roads out here in the Mojave Desert. I ran on them for most of my life up until age 75. Now at 78 I'm still enjoying the great outdoors and riding a bike over my old running trails. Stay fit.
Lovely video steve, always brightens my day. You and Jan are top humans 👍
Steve, you actually rode one of my favorite rides on you key west to Canada series of rides. the Miami Beach Beachwalk trail on up thru Surfside and Bal Harbor and over the bridge thru Haulover park. while you rode the Underline trail from Dadeland, we ride the Commadore trail up thru Coral Gables and Coconut Grove into Miami, then north back home.
Hi Steve. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch. I ride a rail trail in Maryland, but my favorite is the GAP/C&O trail.
Steve and Mrs Steve, my Wife and I love your videos, they are Awesome. We are both 73 and ride a tandem bicycle at least twice a week 20 or 30 miles, this ride you posted is one we would like to do with you two sometime, if that would be ok. We live in Ohio so it's just a little commute.
Thank You so very much for your videos. Ron and Cindra
Steve do you experience any bodily pains on your longer tours? I know I do and I'm 50 years old and some change.
Did 10 round trip on my Ebike lol. But im higher elevation and got windy and dry and we mostly have wild weeds here but i enjoyed it. Going to get back on my pedal bike this week after a week and half break from heat exhaustion
I think Ebikes are dangerous for older people if im being honest.
Hi Steve.
My favorite ride as well – from Avon to Riverton and back.
Great video.
Russ – we have met.
Good Morning Steve, after watching your latest video, my wife and I sat down this morning and listened to your podcast with Tom Butler of Cycling over Sixty. Great job! We love watching your YouTube videos and have found it to be a great inspiration. I turn 70 in October and plan to celebrate by doing my birthday ride. Keep up the good work.
This is great seeing just an average ride, keep it up and you should be able to post more often now with these. Any historical stuff nearby? Revolutionary war sites?
