I bought a Rockrider AM100S V2 on sale for 9900 RMB (1400 USD) and I'm considering returning it for the new model, Feel 700 LT 15000 RMB (2100 USD). Decathlon is the only place that sells full-suspension bikes in Beijing so I don't have a lot of options. I was thinking about upgrading the AM100S when I heard about the 700 LT

Rockrider AM100S V2 Singapore site (English)

Fork – ROCKSHOX 35 front fork has 150mm of travel.

Rear suspension – Manitou Mac Leod Air 190X51 140mm

brake – SRAM LEVEL T brakes; 4-piston front and 2-piston rear. 180 mm front rotor, 160 mm rear rotor.

Rockrider Feel 700 LT – UK site

Fork: Rock Shox YARI RC 160 mm

Rear suspension – Rock Shox SUPER DELUXE Select 150 mm

Brake – SRAM DB8 hydraulic disc brakes 4-piston Front disc: 200 mm, Rear disc: 200 mm

I know there are other differences in the frame (the new model routes cables better), different tires and rims etc, but I know how to compare them of list them in a simple way. Also, tires are a cheap upgrade. I tried searching SRAM level T vs DB8 but didn't find anything. I know level T are second from the bottom on SRAM product stack.

Is it worth returning the AM100s V2 and paying an extra 700 USD for the Feel 700 LT? This will be my first full suspension bike and my first bike in 8 years so I'm really out of the loop regarding hardware and have no experience with SRAM.

To answer the recommended questions:

  • The type of riding will you be doing. – trail riding
  • Where you will be riding. – in Beijing
  • Your budget (with included currency). these are the only two full-suspension bikes locally available and in my price range
  • What you like/didn't like about your current bike. – I didn't have a bike, bought the AM100s but haven't had a chance to ride it yet.
  • Your experience level and future goals. – I will be riding recreationally for fun, not looking to set any records. I used to run trails in my teens, haven't had a bike for the last 8 years.
