Good Video like always❤
"Wir gedenken der Toten beider Weltkriege" = We commemorate the dead of both world wars.
Weltkriege = plural, Weltkrieg is singular.
"Mauer nach Einsturz wieder aufgebaut" = Wall rebuilt after collapse in 1969
Maybe it would be nice to find an app which translates text from a photo. You already understand a lot of German, but sometimes missing a single word may give the sentence a very different meaning.
I don't think walking videos are boring, it is like walking at your side and exploring with you. And I guess that the difference between villages in the US and in Europe is not only the "huge ammount of history" Europe has, but also the fact that Europe has "grown cities" insterad of planned ones. When our ancestors reached the US there was plenty of land to settle down, so it was easy to found a village by building some houses and straight streets orderly. As Europe always has been densely populated, people had to be creative to enlarge the existing villages and towns, trying to use each and every available little spot. 🙂
Nice, relaxed video. Like your curiousity. Keep it going!
Thank you Connor you took your hat of bevor you went into the church. Most people don't do that.
nice i went to school in Horb 25 years ago funny to see it again thank you for the video
Yes great idea. You should try to talk to the people living where you go. Especialy in the smaller towns or villages like Horb.
immer schön trinken gell, bei dem heißen Wetter 🙂

Even if I repeat myself, but for trips like that twitch streams could be really nice. To integrate and interact with the chat etc. And afterwards you could upload a shorter highlight version on YT. I think that would make totally sense for trips like that. (Plus you'd make additional money). 😎
Hi Conner yiu have to explore Baiersbronn and the Nationalpark Nordschwarzwald. Amazing nature.
It would be more nice in our towns if there would be more life there.
Many stores are closed like butchers, bakeries, clothes and so on. Amazon and Co. didn't do a favor to them, also energy prices exploded and Corona sealed their end.
Fortunately we do much effort to keep historical buildings intact.
Those half-timbered houses can be very old. In Baden-Württemberg you can see two different types of timberwork: Alemannic type and Franconian type.
The Alemannic is quite simple using almost exklusively straight beams. The beams can be cut in such a way that you can see how the beams are supposed lock each other – like a puzzle. They were using no or only very few nails for connecting the beams. Typically those buildings are a bit older – early middle ages.
Franconian type of timberwork is more decorative and can comprise bows and other bent shapes of beams. Particularly in south-west Germany it started to spread a bit later after the Alemannic type.
During the middle ages most of the construction in towns and villages was made from wood. However because of that many towns fell victim of fire at least once in their history and quite often several times. One function of such tower-like buildings was providing an observation place to detect a fire early and alarm people.
Very interesting👍👍

You are only 16 minutes away from where I was born in Sulz am Neckar. The next town after Horb am Neckar. Great video, thanks❤😊
It's kind of funny, I've been to Horb so many times (by car or motorcycle), but I always thought of it as "a normal small city". I see the beautiful towns in my home country now completely differently through your eyes. Keep up the good work!!
Hi Welcome to my homecounty. nice little citiy close to my own city
Come down Villingen-Schwenningen next time, we pick you up and visit the old city of Villingen. Other option is coming with us to lake Constance, visiting the city of Konstanz. You will love it!
I also recommend you visit the city of Rottweil, which is not far from Horb. And of course Hohenzollern Castle/Burg Hohenzollern
Bruder ich liebe deine Videos! Du bist so ein angenehmer dude ❤ und du bist gerade in der nähe wo ich lebe! Wünsche dir eine tolle Zeit!
Hey, Conner, that is it! I´m a "boy" from Germany, born 1943 in Rottenburg am Neckar. That tour is fantastic, believe it or nor: I´ll look that video many, many times. I´m so glad you´ve done that tour with all these old places: The slot canyon streets, the prison, the old houses… Thanks a lot, let the good times roll.
Hey, Conner! Excuse me, my comment for that video is on the wrong place, ìt should be for the fantastic video of Rottenburg am Neckar. But Horb is fantastic too!
