I’m primarily a mountain biker, with my main bike being a 2023 Specialized Stumpjumper. I’m looking for something cheap and simple, to get me around the neighborhood and for short trips. I’m talking likely under 10 miles per week.

Looking for a NEW beater bike just to get me around that is very inexpensive, as this won’t be used often. Max amount willing to pay is $250 and that is very very firm. Please do not recommend used. I have bought used before and had good experiences but that is not possible this time for several reasons. I am trying to take advantage of any Labor Day sales. I am between these, or any other recommendations. Bonus if it is already assembled, even if not assembled well(inb4 comments about Ozark Trail assembly). I am in between these, though definitely open to suggestions. I am 6’ 180lb, typically buy a size large bike/frame.

  1. Respectfully, nobody here knows anything about bikes in this category. I’m not even sure which subreddit to suggest.
