I bought this bike not so long ago, I'm quite happy with its performance, but I would like it to be even better. I was thinking about changing the pedals to ones with better grip. I'd love to hear what you think 👍.

  1. – It has a kickstand?! No.

    – Research tires to see what’s best for where you live and how you ride.

I would say, remove kickstand for your own survival on trails. It’s going to get caught and wreck itself, and possibly the bike and your body, when it happens.
Pedals, I like Chesters. They are affordable and reliable. Not the best for Clydesdales who like jumping, but for most they work great.
Cheap Chinese dropper post with external routing. Will help you immensely on the trails. Total gamechanger, but don’t overpay.
You have Deore, so the drivetrain is solid. Aside from that, have fun. Eventually you will buy a whole new one if you really enjoy riding, so I wouldn’t put a ton of money into this, but it’s not department store junk so it’s worth your effort.
