I have a Triban 500 got it second hand really enjoying it. Just learning how to fix and change various parts. The tyres is it has are 700 x 25. I'm looking to get wider tyres. However I went to decathlon to ask and the guy there did show me some which I think were 35 or 38 but he said that they wouldn't fit as they'd be too thick. Can someone who has a bit more experience than me help me understand if this is the case. I'm keen on putting gravel tires on for example.
I'm really new to all this but I'm looking to do a tour at some point.
