  1. Txomin Juaristi robbed of TV coverage of himself crossing the line solo in 6th, what a disgrace. That's Euskaltel – Euskadi's whole livelihood taken from them. /s

  2. soler is always a potential winner when it comes
to mountain stage … i guess he needs extra hour
of sustain mountain push in his training regiment.
plus he got pissed-off every time people are not pulling
their weight on break-away …so far i haven't seen anybody
    helping him (5 years)

  3. Visma RentaBike are hedging their bets on WVA this year. Stepp Küss, who was effectively allowed to win by team-mates Vindegaard and Roglič in last year's Vuelta, is going to be key in helping WVA to achieve the GC victory. Still a long way to go, but WVA is looking impressive against the other contenders. Can he keep it going? Will he manage the higher mountain stages to put time into his rivals?

Roglič, can he come back to win La Vuelta? He's showed signs of strength and weakness so far, but still wouldn't write him off.

Marc Soler, what is that dude about? Is he ever going to grab a stage by the horns and win one? He seems to have good attributes to win something, but it's as if he doesn't believe in himself or he's always got something to complain about. He seems best sacrificing himself for others maybe. That sticky bottle cheat though, what a plonker!

  4. A relatively comfortable day for O'Connor by the sounds of it. He'll need to use his energy later, so I'm sure days like these are appreciated by him.

  5. I watched the full race. Is it ok for riders to get pulled along by a car when handing a bottle? Soler got loads of free pulls on the climbs to get him back to the breakaway. It feels like cheating.

  6. Why are so few break formations filmed? Can be so influential for the whole day, informative of team tactics and surely the easiest thing for the director, 2 cameras on the road capture everything

  7. Why would Quentin pull at all after making the split? Once the climb starts and they have 25sec on the rest, he should have sat up and wait till the end of the climb to make his move. The last part of the climb is much flatter and exposed to the wind. Wva would be making a much bigger effort in that last part of the climb and that was his only chance

  8. Hi Mr Lanterne, my son is competing in the junior MTB world championships in Andorra this week, he is a massive fan of yours and would love to meet you if possible! He is riding in the Australian team. Let me know if you're free to meet up with him! Thanks mate, Denis
