The Dartmoor Way is a 90-ish-mile route around the whole of Dartmoor National Park and you can do the cycle route or the hiking route, depending on how enthused you are for either of those things (!).

Good starting points with train stations are Okehampton and Ivybridge but you can also get the train to Newton Abbot or Plymouth and cycle up to the route. Here are some useful links below:

    1. Well done for getting out there 💪 i didnt know that circular route existed looks a great route. Ive always fancied doing the 2 moors way mtb route to exeter through the moors but i just havent managed to organise it . Hopefully soon 🙂 ive done the sdw which is a great route , best in the dry . The king alfred Way route i also enjoyed , did it anticlockwise to enjoy stonehenge at the end . I did the KAW over two weekends , great circular route lots of places to stay and train connections , i did it on a hardtail though lots of people do it on Gravel Bikes . I might try the Cantil Way as ive heard its nice flat , alot of road and goes along the seaside , which is nice 😊

    2. Glad the sun shone on your 2nd day, South Brent is very scenic. A hotel must be more expensive than camping but you rode with almost zero luggage, is it worth the extra cost?

    3. Richard in Oz again. Nice video-very serene and soothing, while still being tough and adventurous at the same time! Your vids all inspire me to consider the routes, and that's a great thing I think.

    4. Just found your channel Kit, love the videos and descriptions. Just getting back into cycling again and live in Devon by the river Dart, so this route interests me…. will have a rummage on Komoot for it.

      Keep the videos coming 👏👏

    5. Hi Kit! Currently enjoying this latest video, but wanted to drop in and thank you for your previous video where you took a train out and rode back. I had this Tuesday booked off but had no plans. On the Monday night, just before bed, I thought "Why don't I do what Kit did??", so I booked a train ticket down to Tavistock from up here in Somerset. Threw a route together, cycled to the station in the morning, hopped off in Devon and enjoyed 45 miles of canals, fields (!) and Quantock Hills. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I will definitely be doing more trips like this going forward!
