Vail Grind, Aug 28 2024 @ 5:30p MDST. Men's sport class, 10 miles, 2k vert. Sending it too hard on the DH caused me to get too loose and washed on a left near the 3rd checkpoint at Golden Gate. Also took a wrong turn following others and had to double back a climb. Still finished though. Not without accidental punishment.
I needed to clarify, I'm not out for the season, it's the last race for the local series. I told myself I would commit to doing one race this season and this was it. I did it with my colleagues, great time. We had tacos 🌮 & beer 🍺 after. 🤘
