    1. Nice to see you with video 🙂
It's become interesting to me that I watch Przemorkrk video in his own channel , and his avatar is in different position from this video during final sprint.

    2. Great coverage this morning. Thx for the Americas Watts promotion! I would check with Oscar, but I believe the final race on Tuesday will start 1 hr earlier than normal because of the expected duration.

    3. Love the new setup, Colin. I was watching last week's race on my laptop in the kitchen. My wife was amazing you could talk, comment and ramble for almost an hour. This is a special skill. The gift of gab. 😀 That was another epic finish for the top riders. Roeboe, great race today, well done! I need the weather to be more rainy and terrible… I'm missing the Sunday Short Races! 🤣

    4. i was a little slower today compared to Thursday's race as my legs were still recovering from this morning's epic climb up Cuitu Negru (26% max gradient).

This race – I managed to stay with the lead group for around 6km before dropping back and working with a pretty hard working chase group. I had this grand idea of working with the group until the climb just after the 2nd check point and then go flat out max effort, but …
best laid plans … I wasn't prepared for the group to power up those short hills with so much effort. I had to follow suit each time otherwise I would never have caught back up and this reduced my ability to make the planned attack.

On a side note – after this ride I immediately went out on a recovery ride on castro caldelas – only to realise after the fact that this will be tomorrow's GRC race route.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XBuOogIJKo – starts at 40:34 if you want a route preview before the race.

    5. Oh yeah, Colin, IvanL and I had a good finish. We had a group, then him and I teamed up and took off, then there at the end when you found us, he pulled ahead, then I did, then we about stopped, and finally, I launched. That was fun! He's definitely a rider, he knew to match/countermatch me the last mile or so until I just went and didn't let off. Hope to see him again, that was fun.

    6. Yes the Tour de Donut is a real ride in Ohio. Its a 60 mile ride where they have donuts at the rest stops and you get 5 minutes off your race time for each donut you eat. 6 of us, me, my son, Dainon, Kristen_W, Brian (bjm-151) and Chad Ritchie took a day off of riding virtually together and rode together in real life!

    7. EatmorCake here, catching up on your latest videos – more great stuff!
A few weeks ago, you asked me to comment with my cycling back-story, so here we go…

Right, here I am 76 years of age (72kg). Been cycling most of my life, commuting and leisure cycling, nothing serious. My 1st bike was a hand-me-down, my mothers 1930's single speed racer.
Aged 30 I gave up cigarettes and took up running (2024 back running again after another 5 year lay-off, resting my knees!)
Aged 60, retired from work, bought my first new bike, became, an occasional, part-time, fair weather cyclist, riding several hours a week.
2021 knocked off my bike by a Kamikazi dog, that jumped under my front wheel. I was shaken and bruised, not badly injured (sadly, the the dog survived!)
2022 bought a Wattbike. Spent 3 months doing Wattbike beginners workouts and then joined Rouvy. In 10 years on my 'new' bike, I rode about 6,000km – in 30 months on the Wattbike, I've done over 18,000km.
I tend to get bored on rides lasting much more than an hour – even with great scenery, which is why I like the GRC Sunday Short Races – 40 minutes of pushing hard, knowing that it will soon be over, and I'm buzzing!!
Finally – Wartaal, we don't know each other, not friends, we just happen to end up riding together. I have 'seen' him on Rouvy Tuesday & Thursday GR a few times, he rides near the front, I take it easy at the back.
