For the type of biking I do (utilitarian) this front carrier would be very beneficial for me, I could strap bread trays, shopping baskets etc to it .
£99, probably cost £15 to manufacturer, I wouldn’t expect it to cost more than £50 in shops, but, needs must

Proper racks for any bike were never cheap 🙁
If their basket (which I’ve been using these last weeks) is any indication, it will be very well made and finished indeed.
I use both, basket and front rack by Fahrer.
Definitely buy it with one of the recommended elastic strips. The rack is small, but very light. The basket is much bigger and fits plenty of stuff, but definitely heavier.

Fahrer accessories tend to be on the expensive side, but so far, well made. They are also a little annoying to get stateside, as very few online vedors seem to carry the entire Fahrer range.
I have a number of Fahrer fender mudflaps for various ebikes, as well as Bosch neoprene battery covers for the same bikes. All well made, but all a little above average prices.
So not really surprised that more durable goods like their racks aren’t exactly budget options.
The Fahrer front luggage block “basket” for the Brompton is still very tempting to me. I’m waiting on a number of things before pulling the trigger on one.
