Hello! New(ish) to buying mountain bikes and need advice/thoughts on this Trek Marlin Gary Fisher Collection found on FB Marketplace.
Is this a good bike? What are the specs? Seller doesn’t have specific specs or when the bike was made.
Background:
I bikejor with my two Alaskan huskies. Races are on trails, thought they usually aren’t super narrow, intense inclines/declines or anything like that. But they are off-road trails. I’ve always borrowed a bike for races (my friend has a high-end Trek), but want to have my own to train with on trails, not just training on streets with a street bike.
Looking into several options of buying new (Trek Marlin or Kona Honzo) but this came up on Marketplace for $400.
Would this be a decent starting point for my needs at that price? It’s in great shape, just been tuned up, etc.
Any thoughts are appreciated!
