Twelve years ago I foolishly walked from Vienna to Bratislava. It was the hardest walk I had – and have- done in my life. I decided to cycle part and walk part as a sort of trip down memory (cycle) lane. THis was my first experience on an electric bike and I loved it. The walk from Hainburg to Bratislava was tough going.
Filmed July 2024 | Vienna, Austria.

was not expecting B & B
I walked from Edinburgh center to the airport. not many people do that apparently. no luggage, backpack only
Glad you didn't film those 'naturalists' with their cameras and binoculars…shame there were no naturists to oggle at, though. 😛
Electric bike in Paisley, funny, you could never leave it unattended for any longer than a few seconds.
Great video . Like how you kept the recreation of your 2012 trip with a beer.😅
Ibis is a Dump, obvious he lives on a very tight budget.
Marvellous, as always. Thank you Scott. 🎉❤
Naturists, not naturalists 😂…. Imagining you not filming because David Attenborough, Chris Packham and Steve Backshall are having a knees up on the riverbank lol
Another first class video 👍
I love cycling away from traffic on cycle tracks. This one looks really good , perhaps a little monotonous. Electric bikes are good as long as the battery lasts , then heavy going. I rode a Bosch powered one once, and was impressed with the longevity of the battery. You were very foolish Scott to walk that distance in the heat. Vienna looks a great place to visit.
Electric bikes, there are two kinds, one wth a throttle of some description (not legal on-road in the UK, where you are also limited to a max speed of 15.5 mph, although you can make them go faster if you pedal hard, but the electric assist stops), and those with torque sensors, where you have to rotate the pedals to go – the harder you pedal, the more power you get fed to the wheel. You can also get illegal ones that go a lot faster!
An eating, rather than a cooking channel would be better. When I travel to new places I often find myself spending a long time trying to find worthwhile food to eat in the limited time I have while in transit only to discover later that another fifty metres further down the road was a place selling something unique and lovely.
The e bike is a must for these types of journeys. I live in Sheffield known as seven hills, so it would be an option to get about. I’d feel uneasy leaving my passport though😬
Another great video Scott, thanks for sharing.
The thing with Google maps is that it's the source data that's often the issue. Google sources its data from 3 parties so if they're wrong then Google is wrong. Eg bus timetables. It's not technically Google maps's fault as they don't make the source data. I do love Google maps and I use it for my global travels and I wouldn't be without it. I combine it with street view before heading out to check my route and locations of bus stops etc. it's not always right but better than without it .
Planes Trains and Everything. I have an EVERYTHING suggestion, get the train to Thorpe Park and ride The UK'S FASTEST AND HIGHEST coaster HYPERIA. Would love to see you on that. I'll even pay your admission fee for you. ❤
Love the idea of your cooking channel. Scott the Scot – cooks.
Lonely building probably housing a pump for drainage.
That round wooden building you were looking for is still there – https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nationalparkhaus+Wien+-+Lobau/@48.1942965,16.4689143,147m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x476d0092f1c9b8b3:0xe370eb3085e91fd9!8m2!3d48.1941206!4d16.4685539!16s%2Fg%2F1ptw832xy?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDgyMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
So now we know the ‘Everything’ in you channel title is electric bikes. I can’t understand why you didn’t film near the naturalists as they were studying nature, now if they had been naturists I could understand 😂.
According to the people interviewed by DW on the subject, the breading on a schnitzel is supposed to partly peel off the meat in big bubbly bits.
Another fantastic video
Will there be another challenge between you and Steve. Really enjoyed your last one.
