HIKING & BIKING IN SWEDEN. Hiking on SKÅNELEDEN SL2 – Section 4B and 4C. These section gives a historical feel right at the start at the 12th century castle. Then continuing up on the steep ridge to old forests, ruins and wilderness. The ruin i found in the woods was a surprise, since I took the wrong turn on the trail. The best wrong turn ever 🙂 This ruin was once a library built 1779 if I remember correctly.

How to get here from Malmö: Take the train to Hässleholm, about an hours ride. Then take the bus 535 to Finjasjön (you need to order this minibus by calling 2 hours in advance) which is only about 20 minutes then you arrive right att the 12th century Castle Hovdala which is the starting point for this section. There is another bus, no 3, which takes 10 minutes but you’ll have to walk 30-40 minutes to the starting point of the trail. If you take bus 3 then stop at “Tomestorp Nilla Pihlbladsvägen” cross the road, walk under the bridge, take left in the roundabout, then it’s straight ahead pretty much.
