On the first day of the 71st International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria, the cyclists will start from Sofia and will finish the day in Troyan.

    The competition starts at 1:10 p.m. from Narodno Sabranie Square in the direction of Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd. – right turn at the cloverleaf to Mihai Eminescu Blvd. – Sitniakovo Blvd. to the intersection with Madrid Blvd. – Botevgradsko Shose Blvd. will engage with a right turn. Traffic continues along the boulevard until it crosses the road I-6 – Dolni Borov – Sarantsi – Dolno Kamartsi – Mirkovo – Chelopech – Zlatitsa – Pirdop – Rozino – Karnare – Balkanets – Beli Osam – Lovech junction – Vasil Levski St. roundabout – Left junction – Final in front of the Troyan municipality building – 5:32 p.m.

    Apart from the participation of the municipalities, the main organizers of the tour are the Bulgarian Cycling Federation (BFC), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and the Municipality of Sofia. The general sponsor of BFC in the implementation of the sports event is the insurance company DZI. The partnership aims to popularize cycling in our country and improve the culture and safety of cyclists as road users.

    This year the tour coincides with the 100th anniversary of sports cycling in Bulgaria.
