    1. Glad your not hurt and your Jersey is OK! I stoped ridding Shamano cranks when they went to the bonded cranks. Thanks for the lovely views. I can show you how to hot wire that car. Hope its not a bonded crank.

    2. Amazing ride again Mark ! ! ! ! Such a great group ! ! ! ! I checked my crank set when the recall came out but I think I'm going to take it to an Authorized Shimano Inspection Shop and have them decide if it's OK or not after your mishap ! ! Glad you OK Buddy ! ! ! !

    3. Hi Mark sorry about your crank . The riders here who have had this issue have had their cranks replaced with an up grade to the latest model hope you get the some with your new bikes wash them in softly detergent it makes the chamis more comfortable all the best of luck by the way I got myself a gravel bike yesterday seeing you enjoy your so much trouble is it is passing down hereunder I'm to soft to take a brand new bike out in that cheers

    4. That ride could have ended up a lot worse glad you are all ok. The toll bridge looked lovely. I have just treated myself to a Rapha short sleeve brevet navy blue jersey reduced in the sale, which was still expensive but I’ve looked at them for the last few years and glad I got it. Some stuff is ok to buy cheap but I have found cheap bibs are not worth it

    5. What a mess! When that happens you start thinking…what if? All the ways it could have been worse. Years ago I was warming up for a track race and my bottom bracket axle just gave way. I was only doing some light pedalling at the time but then you start thinking…what if I’d been going flat out in a race when it broke? All the best. Hope it all gets fixed. By the way, do you have many toll type bridges/roads?

    6. Have you had the crank inspected bu you local shimano dealer?? You will be due a replacement 11sp ultegra one u dealer the warranty replacement scheme.

    7. I have to ask: You you aware of the recall when it came out a year ago? If not, were other people you ride with on Shimano cranks aware of it? It was pretty big news in cycling circles, so I would be surprised that a cyclist with a YouTube channel was unaware.
If you were aware, did you inspect the crank at that time and not see any issues? Seems quite interesting to me that an avid cyclist would miss, not feel or hear any signs of potential failure at the crank. I see you do ride in the UK, so lots of rain rides?
Just asking for my own knowledge to assist other cyclists I know who predominantly ride Shimano Ultegra. I ride Campy 12 and Sram AXS, so I am not personally familiar with the issue. When I first saw a failed Ultegra crank like yours, it was 2019. Its been going on for a long time, only the formal recall and acknowledgment by Shimano is new (as of last year).
      Cheers, from the Philippines.

    8. I was told by a local shimano dealer the delamination process has possibly been accelerated by the use of an indoor trainer… The compliance of the frame lost through the rigid mounting of the trainer, creating more flex in the chainset instead of the structural manufacture of the frame itself… Glad you stayed upright Mark 👌 and that tyre… Wow.. Toast

    9. That breakage could have caused a messy skid on your arse along tarmac. Glad it didn't.
My bike got a good clean and chain lube yesterday ahead of a ride today but the forecast light showers turned into steady rain so I spent a long time in a cafe eating chips and cake. This bit of NE Scotland has had decent weather for a few days but all good things come to an end…

    10. Shimano has always been my first choice but they've had some real hiccups lately. The Slx, Xt, Xtr hubs have been problematic too. Creaking and howling after only a few miles. Some even locking up like a fixie.

    11. Thats a lot of bad luck mate on one ride buddy, iam glad no one was hurt pal , unfortunately ill have to miss this sunday due to my knee pal but hope you have a grsat ride 👍

    12. Fantastic day out, loved the cafe stop but what a shame Shimano ruined the last 20 miles or was it Frosty putting too much power down 🤔 great vlog buddy 🤗🙌

    13. Tubeless sealent advertizes the brand by the color of ruined jerseys! Hopefully that crankset was inspected, cause all of them should have been replaced gratis!
