We were on her maiden season in 2019 for the Christmas markets. Lovely!! Loved the spaces
Wonderful piece!! It’s reignited how much I miss the AWE channel that our cable company dropped a few years ago. My desire to find a new cable company is also reignited!!
Very nice video and a beautiful ship. see you in a little while on the live.
Thank you for this wonderful informative tour. I have not taken a river cruise, but the more I watch your videos the more likely it may be something to do in the future. This river boat looks fantastic🚢🙂
Wow, quite a river ship
Given its size, do you know if its draft is deeper than 'normal' sized river ships? The low water/high water issues of the Danube often leave spots in the river where river ships get stranded, meaning your river cruise can turn into a bus cruise. Some river cruise lines have worked around the issue by having multiple ships on either side of the river blockage and transfer passengers from one ship to another, but given that at present there's only one of these ships, that might not be an option. Any idea on AMA plans to deal with high/low water issues?
Wonderful report, as usual! Looks like a marvelous ship!
Beautifully filmed and curated video review 🙂
Hi Helen and Rich. She is a pretty River Ship. And well appointed too. It seems like Ama has covered a lot of ground in amenities, service, and style, like you said
"You don't see on any other cruise, river or ocean." A very enjoyable presentation. And an app that seems to work very well, however simplistic it might be.
As long as it does what it needs to do in the first place. I think the less buttons you have to push or swipes you have to make, the better, right??
This is beautiful
Thats one thing i like about Premium Youtube, you can skip those annoying embedded commercials.
I must say, your videos are getting better and better👏This one is so well put together and really whets my appetite to go on a river cruise again! The boat you were in was so beautiful and the itinerary, a bucket list one, for sure🥰. Will be looking forward to your next video🤞
Stunning ship and vlog,tanks
Well, I didn't think I'd want to do a river cruise, but this does look enchanting! How would I go about booking from the UK? Any preferred travel agents that will put together a nice package with flights etc? Not sure how any of that works…
As always, a highly informative and extremely well crafted video. This ship looks stunning. I also really appreciate how you provide shots of the food – that looks spectacular ! – coupled with a brief menu heading, but you do not indulge in footage of you eating it and commentating at the same time (which seems popular amongst many of your vlogger compatriots, but for me seems a step too far). Apropos the dialogue regarding “paid promotion”, you have always been clear and transparent in your supporting information accompanying all your videos regarding hosted trips (as is also made clear on your website information about each trip as well).
You’ve got us interested! A great ship tour and overview, thank you 🙏 OTBC!
Love your tour – the ship looks amazing …. It’s on the list 👍🏻
Great video thank you, I’ll be going on this ship summer time then Cunard Queen Anne later in the year and excited for both.
This is basically an ADVERT & PROMOTION for AmaWaterways and Panache Cruises as you clearly state your official Brand Ambassadors. Even though they didn't pay you money, you got a free cruise which is the same. You should clearly state paid promotion. Even though you claim to be unbiased and these are you opinions of the cruise….. it's REALLY difficult to be honest, subjective & critical when your getting a free cruise
If your getting a free cruise = Paid promotion should be stated
What a beautiful boat. So elegant. We've never taken a river cruise, but the more we see of them, the more it appeals. It looks so much quieter and chilled than a cruise ship. The aft terrace is gorgeous, we'll give the spin bikes a miss though! Excellent review and video. Cheers 🍻
Some super filming Rich. 👍 We're curious about the design of the pan fried Halibut they offer! 😄
I have been on a number of river cruises, including with AMA. Some of the locks we went through were very narrow even for a regular river cruise ship. How does AMA Magna approach this? I'm guessing it restricts its choice of rivers to cruise.
Great video , very professional !!!
Amazing ship and amazing views and locations. I hope I can try a river cruise one day 🙂 (just starting on the sea for now, can't do all at one time ^^)
More big ships, more overcrowding.
Lovely ship. Really beautiful cabins. Nice to see a choice of food venues (although imo you could drop Jimmys and put in a second lounge). And also nice to see an always available menu (as I’m both can be a fussy eater and have a nut allergy so often go for the mundane known stuff). Well done – great video.
It looks absolutely stunning, everything about the cruise looked fantastic…
Lost me at children on board/ playing video games
What to say at c& p back exam
We are serious about looking at this boat for another river cruise. Like the multi restaurants, laundry, and extra space. Getting ready to do our 3rd Viking river cruise in two weeks.
Where are Rich and Ellen?
This video is amazing, i am an ex rivercaptain and worked for Uniworld and Viking. Imagine this business has evolved from rebuild old barges with 1 shower for all guest (10 guest)
Ama copied some of both of them but there schip is unique and a challenge to navigate especially with low water.
I couldent be bothered anymore but 20 years ago i would see a great challenge to be captain of a schip like that. Only thing this tennis playfield behind the wheelhouse😄, would drive me insane
It's certainly not the biggest riverboat in Europe. In Russia, much larger vessels have been sailing on the Volga River for many decades. Here, for example, is one of the newest vessels, the Mustai Karim: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9C%D1%83%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%B9_%D0%9A%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%BC_(%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BF%D0%BB%D0%BE%D1%85%D0%BE%D0%B4)
In Europe we use ISO standards, i.e. centimeters, meters or square meters. It calculates more easily than imperial units like inches or sqft. Oh yes, one more thing, money can't buy you a class.
A small ship with SKYLIGHTS. And so many of them. It reminds me so much of the Victorian into Edwardian Era liners. So many traditional elements combined with modern ones. My dream home is a Queen Anne Victorian or Crafsman. But I wouldn't complain if I lived in a house that resembled the likes of this ship. It truly looks like a dream voyage.
I’ll be on the AmaMagna next December for a Christmas markets cruise. Thank you so much for showing me what to expect. Looking forward to it.
