I’m looking to buy an all round mtb that I can take to the downhill parks maybe 2 twice a year and also go on long rides in the hills of Southern California.
I’m an experienced road biker and just moved to socal I want something that is going to last me about 5 years.
All three bikes are $1700.

Honestly, I myself would probably go with the 2023 Trek Fuel due to just lack of build information etc, only due to the fact that it would just have more modern geo than the others and can be easily upgradeable. I myself own a 2020 Trek Fuel and it has been my most favorite for local riding… not 100% sure about downhill parks since I swap to my Nomad for those.
I would go with the newer models. Geometry changed dramatically in or around 2018 and more modern bikes are going to climb better and descend better.
