On my cycle route from Bruges, I cycle back through Zeeland Flanders in the Netherlands, passing through Sluis, Oostburg, and Terneuzen (which has more than 50,000 inhabitants). The video starts here at the harbour area, partly in the city centre and along the Scheldt boulevard, ending at the exit of Terneuzen. In Terneuzen, there are few tourists and even fewer cyclists. This is because the cities of Sluis and Hulst are close to the Belgian border and attract day tourists. At position 7.10 central point at the town hall bus stop and expo, but also walking path a few dozen meters to the shopping street, again few people and it is the weekend. Terneuzen does not yet have a passenger train (only freight trains to Ghent, Belgium), and this has not changed for decades. The city also has extremely expensive public transport (note: there are few buses, and they do not serve certain residential areas and shopping centres!). In Flanders (Belgium), the fare is €1.7 per trip for 1 hour of travel, and you can also travel 90 minutes in the same vehicle if necessary for €1.7 with a 10-trip ticket. Here, you have to pay per minute (time ticket) or per kilometre (no joke). You can buy a time ticket, for example, €10 for 1 hour, or with an OV chip card, you quickly spend tens of euros to reach destinations in the province of Zeeland. I come from Flanders (although I was born in Oostburg), public transport is completely different from the current system here in the Netherlands ( province of Zeeland ) in terms of extremely expensive fares and no flexibility. Enjoy cycling! I did notice that before I arrived at this location, there was a nasty smell at Terneuzen Hoek (terribly annoying ! ). Have fun with the street view.
