10km at an average gradient of 18% with a maximum of 40%… and throw in some cobbles for good measure! The Pozza San Glisente may not quite reach the same mind-boggling 48% ramps of the Scanuppia, but itโs longer and even more relentless. So, naturally, we sent Ollie to Italy to take it on and find out just how hard this epic climb really is!

thats cute guys… you have never cycled in Japan I see. There is a reason why 90% of the cars are 4×4
Salzberg near Hallstatt Salzkammergut.
A gravelbike with seriously low gear is the right bike here. This will be a climb when even I see the point of bigger rear gear than front gear.
And No. Andrew Feather is a legend, but with lowest gear of like 34/28 he WILL fail.
Why does that even exist???
Knew it was the hardest climb 10 seconds into the video because of the amount of swearing. ๐
You should try this thing with an xc bike!
Bring on the twig!!!
I'd say you need a mtb, and obviously personally adapted to your needs, this really is difficult, because you cannot use the road, like a normal road, your have to ride straight up without weaving etc
You are to far from the professional
I've never heard Ollie swear so much ๐๐๐ you know it was a killer
I'm confused, what product was being pushed today ? ๐ค
How do you work out the gradient of a steep section? I live in Scotland, so there's a few hard steep gravel trails nearby but I've been wanting to find out how bad the gradients really are. I refuse to push the bike up them even if it means stopping 5/8 times to catch my breath.
You could have saved weight by leaving unnecessary items behind, like your bike for example.
How much likes you have?!!!๐
All this hiking made me think i was watching GTN ๐
I want to see them build the most crazy climbing bike.
11:02
Yes yes yes what a great video
Iโd love to see that!
Just imagine being happy about 15% gradient so that you can kind of smoothly ride again.
How about GMBN as competition ๐
You need a mtb and climb at snail pace
I thought he was Gordon Ramsey cussing ๐คฌ
๐๐๐
i would like to ride with you Sir๐๐ดโโ๏ธ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐ช
6:51 I'm suggesting an e-bike.
Seems like riding it on a mountain bike with a 28/50 would be the smart move.
This was my dads walk to school each day. And then somehow up it again on the way home.
i suppose the camera man was Jesus himself
It's like that's the way it is here in the Philippines, Sambong Tagaytay.
Looking forward to you bringing Feather along ;-P
There are a set of hills in the Philippines that just look awful. They start about 2/3rds of the way up a small mountain. Last time I was there I went to try it and within 15 feet my whole body yelled "STOP!!!" My easiest gear was a 38×30 and it wasn't going to get me anywhere. I plan to try it again but with a significantly easier gear.
What was his gearing?
Any tips for getting clipped out on hills. Iv never been able to. Always had to either keep going or take the fall ๐
This is a climb for MTB
fo and do transfagarasan and then let see how you feel
Made a video with zero preparation where they don't actually ride the climb or show any data, asks for a like so they can film the actual proper video next time.
"It's just not the bike for the job…."
"I just don't have the right gears…"
"You can't weave across the road"
"It looks like it was last tarmaced in roman times…"
Or just perhaps "I'm not strong enough to ride this all the way….. yet."
RULE #5 ๐
Great efforts though, never give up.
