    1. Hi Matthew is really useful video thanks a lot! I have question about weather of course it's Lofoten so rains are the norm but in your opinion, when is the best time to travel this route (I mean the ratio of the number of tourists to still good weather for a bike)? When you were in this place? I greet you!

    2. Thanks for making my route planning even more difficult! So much to see and to do 😁 awesome vids, loads of info Matthew 👍

    3. A++++. This is a really good informative video sharing all this information. These islands are like jewels. The passenger ferry back that takes bikes is a good tip to avoid all the cars, buses and trucks. Many thanks.

    4. Great video, now I'm thinking of planning this trip this summer! Do you have any recommendations for a place to rent a good road or gravel bike for this trip?

    5. Matthew you might want to explain the pros and cons of taking the Hurtigruten over to the islands and on to Stokmarknes? The Hurtigruten museum and nearby camping makes a good turn-around point – a journey Northbound on the Hurtigruten to Stokmarknes takes in the Trollfjord and Raftsundet, a highlight of the 11 day coastal voyage, and done in the late evening summer light, while the best bit of all is that the cycling options on the Vesterålen islands are quieter than on the E10 on the Lofoten next door and no less scenic, just with less traffic. And as I think you know, it's gorgeous on the road to Andenes and on to Senja too… I've visited this area every year since the 1990's and traffic (specifically on the E10 in Lofoten) is rising inexorably in peak season. Hopefully in future all the other visitors will on bikes too! You might also point out that buses take bicycles for the busy stretches at a 50% of adult fare fee, and that the transport links are really easy to fit together from https://www.reisnordland.no/ – there's a wider network of travel options than most visitors realise when they plan a route. Thanks so much for the video, and I'm looking forward to your site becoming the resource we've all been missing for cycling here.
