Solo Bike packing Belgium – Pfaelzer wald

I set off on my bike, fully packed for a 500km bikepacking trip to the Palatinate Forest, specifically Dahn, to do some hiking and sightseeing. With few cycling kilometers under my belt, it was a bit tougher than if I had already had good cycling legs. The first day was the hardest, with over 3000 meters of elevation gain, but it was sunny, warm, and dry. The following days varied from pouring rain to sunshine and everything in between. Happy and soaked, I arrived at the campsite in Dahn three days after departure.
