Spent some time in Saarland recently, and went for a ride starting in Saarbrücken – and taking advantage of its proximity to France. Only 1km into the ride I crossed the border to France and then enjoyed the open French countryside, cycling along country roads and amazing, dedicated, well paved cycle paths. Went via a few villages: Spicheren, Bousbach, Tenteling, Hambach, before reaching Saareguemines. From there I followed the Saar River Cyclepath back to Saarbrücken.
