USA’s Simone Biles won her seventh Olympic gold after winning the women’s vault final with an impressive score of 15.300. In the men’s floor exercise final, Philippines’ Carlos Edriel Yulo created history by clinching the gold with a score of 15.000 and became the first-ever Filipino to win a medal in artistic gymnastics. In the men’s pommel horse final, Ireland’s Rhys McClenaghan left behind the ghosts of Tokyo 2020 to excel at the Paris 2024 Olympics with a score of 15.533 and win gold.
