  1. This is a complete travesty of sport, she is not Scandinavian, so they import the best sportsmen from China, India, Africa, whatever give him/her an Scandinavian (whichever the 4) passport and they buy themselves a gold medal.

  2. Good lord there are some truly miserable folks in the depths of these comments, huh? Such athleticism and joy on display, and all they can manage in response is butthurt rageπŸ˜†

  3. As a Norwegian, I have never heard of her, and I was surprised we had taken gold in weight lifting.
    Did some research on her:

Norwegian mom. Dad from Africa. Born in Finland. Moved to Norway at age 9 with her father and brother.
Things was not good in their home, so she and her brother was placed in a orphanage, and she never saw her father again.
She was built strong as a kid. She didn't like to do team sport, because she had more muscles than the other girls, so she was not comfortable in her own skin.

She got invited to try crossfit at age 15.
After a competition in 2020, a weightlifting coach called her and asked if she wanted to try (he saw her talent)
Several years with crossfit, and then 4,5 years with weightlifting. Here she is.

    – How can you become so good, so quickly?

''I think it's a good mix. I am a person who likes to set myself goals and work towards those goals. I like to work hard and go "all in", and that is one of the reasons why I have become so good. Then it helps with my strength talent and I have a great working capacity which has helped me to succeed.''
