  1. America doesn’t hate you but when you start talking political views and splitting your audience.. you’re asking for people to stop watching you.

  2. putting your health and safety first should never be something to criticize!! honestly, it should be the norm, not this toxic culture of pushing yourself to the limit and glorifying sacrifice. simone deserves an even bigger applause for making that choice, despite knowing exactly what kind of backlash she would receive. she continues to be admirable not only as an athlete, but as an advocate for mental wellness.

  3. This woman was a victim of the creepy dude who was molesting all the young gymnasts… She also had a very hard childhood. To see how far she’s come considering the cards that were given to her….. she’s a fighter & a survivor!

  4. In 50-100 years from now they will still be talking about Simone Biles in the gymnastics world. I hate that she thinks we hate her 😢 From the moment I heard about her and seen her doing gymnastics I’ve always been amazed and inspired by her. I’m so glad I’m alive to see her greatness

  5. No America didn't hate you! We love you! The haters hated you. The people who loved you, always have an always will. Thank you for all you have done!

  6. What a warped opinion she has of herself. "America hates me". Meanwhile, 99% of Americans are only watching the Olympics to root for Simone.

  7. I hope she knows we love and respect her even more. In a culture where women struggle to prioritize their health and safety at work for much lower stakes, it was really good for us to see her do what we all need to learn how to do!

  8. I love that she was smart enough to acknowledge she couldn't and decided to step back. And it also proved how strong the entire team is

  9. Such a great example for everyone. To take health and safety seriously and not push through for the team but build the team up and support them.

  10. I’m sorry, Simone, for everyone that thought you were just quitting! We didn’t understand what happened, but when we heard it was the twisties and what that was, many understood. It just goes to show, be quiet if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

  11. It's crazy how our minds can make us believe things that aren't true. Your worth is your heart, who you help, who you stand up for, not just gymnastics.

You have done so much with your life. I didn't know who you were, but leaving and taking care of you made me a fan for life. ❤❤❤

  12. She was SO brave to step out to take care of her mental health. That was SO important to the sport world and really was a huge thing on the fight for talking more about mental health, specially athlete's. I'm from Brazil and was so proud of her ❤️

  13. Does anyone else aside from me think.. Thank GOD the wobbly exercise was on vault and not beam or floor ? God forbid ! Good on Simone on her decision and look at her soar now !! She should also learn to not look at the h8ful comments – some people are really bitter and don't have logic first of all.. commenting on her dropping out then when Simone didn't even have to participate at all if she didn't have to, she was already stacked with medals from the Worlds and other tournaments

  14. By her being Blk..that alone makes yt Americans look for ANY little reason to say what they already want to say! But now that she Turn’t up for 2024 nd came back with that Gold around her neck🥇..now them same ppl Actin nd Sayin “America Loves you Simone”
