    1. I think there was a perfect amount this year, it gave the sprinters chances to win, and gave the other riders a chance to “rest” between the hard stages.

    2. For me there must be more hilly stage in tour de france next year its interesting to watch like the win of turgis camparnaets or bardet

    3. It all comes back to the discussion around the overall length of the Grand Tours. At 21 days a piece, it’s nigh impossible to fit in a fourth and they end up crowding out smaller races. It’s especially frustrating the way the women’s Grand Tours are completely overshadowed as a consequence of not having a fully open spot on the calendar. Would it really be so bad to go from 21 days to 18?

    4. This year was fine… some awesome sprinting… if they take out sprints then teams won't field sprinters so yhe sprints will get worse. Stage 1 should be an Team Time Trial…

    5. I think part of the sprint stages being boring were the incredible hard stages on the other days leading to many riders wanting to chill on sprint stages (until last 20 minutes)

    6. It’s Fewer not Less.

Now having said that they get it about right I’d say . . . although I think an easier start to the tour and giving other teams a change at the leaders jersey keeps things interesting. Domination of tour from start to finish can be one dimensional.

    7. I think sprint stages are more technical and more difficult to understand how they work, so are not as fun for the casual viewer, so I can see why they want to do less. I love a sprint stage though.
