Lee Carsley has been announced as interim manager of the England men’s football team.

It comes after Gareth Southgate left the role following England’s Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.

Carsley, who has forged a respective coaching career with England’s Under-21, said: “It’s an honour to step up and lead this England squad on an interim basis. As I am very familiar with the players and the cycle of international football, it makes sense for me to guide the team while The FA continues the process to recruit a new manager.”

    1. This is why England will never win anything get a proper big manager not this washed up former players whom are english is like if your english u will get the job

    2. Thats it build for the future another giant circle coming of underachieving failure and resigned to disappointment only the over paid daft so called fans will be gullible enough to say come on england

    3. Youtube Ai already warned me today and not even been that busy ( yet), only comment I can see removed is about watching a bar in Ireland and looks busy already

    4. I'm actually happy about this.
I'm no toffee but loved him as a player. Always played smart.
He's gone through the FA and won competitions.
Look at what Spain did with the same philosophy.
He'll be very well versed in tournament competitions, I've no worries about his experience.
He knows the young players well, and they have faith in him.
He'll have Gareth's experience to learn from too.

I'll be placing bets on England with him in charge ❤
