Hello everyone, another great local Derbyshire loop using a great mixture of road, gravel, cycleway & bridleways. It is about 32 miles starting in Derby at Darley Abbey Park out along the Great Northern Greenway, then through the countryside to Shipley Country Park onto the Erewash canal with a quick ride over Bennerley Viaduct to see if they have finished the building work at the eastern end(no, it is still closed), then across to Dale Abbey & through Hermits Wood & Locko Park then back down the Great Northern Greenway back to the start.
Here is the link to my Komoot map of the route: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1761463457?share_token=a1w9l521NG7PrTgyUZOV9k4Bxk2vAigKthVkwpQcnT4n2DggMO&ref=wtd
    Enjoy!

    1. If you wanted to do a long journey, more than the ebike's range, and didn't want to take a second weighty battery along with you, whereabouts could you actually partial charge back up? You'd need your charger + 240v 3-pin socket of course.

I canal trekked along the Trent & Mersey into Nottm but not without a few needed detours off due to bridge repairs. Navigation was another thing, even with Komoot & Garmin.

    2. Nice Ride.
I discovered that same bit of lovely canal only last week. I rode it twice on 2 separate days because I enjoyed it so much. I rode the majority of your route last week with just a few deviations with one being I avoided the Hermits Cave but still included Locko Park.
The Loren Trust has a few events a year at Locko. We often see the guys dressed up in Asda Spondon as we live in Spondon.

    3. I think you should have put in the thumbnail you were riding an e bike. I nearly didn't watch because I thought it was just a mountain bike ride. I only watch e bike reviews or rides.
