On Day 3, I cycled through the stunning mountains of Sauerland, heading to a legal trekking place in Ottlar. It was one of the most beautiful rides, with gravel roads through the woods and several shelter huts along the way. I met another bikepacker and rode with him for a bit—good to have some company after traveling solo for so long. The trekking spot was amazing, offering solitude in nature with a view over the mountains. I fed the cows nearby and even saw a fox pass by them.
