Conservative leadership candidate Mel Stride says the Reform UK leader Nigel Farage fuelled far-right violence after sharing misinformation about the Southport stabbings.

Mr Stride also distanced himself from comments made by fellow Conservative leadership candidate Robert Jenrick, who told Sky News on Wednesday that anyone chanting the phrase “Allahu Akbar” in the street should be arrested.
