Just calling this one how it is. I love riding my bike, i do struggle with some of the social environments that come as part of the whole cycle scene. Especially with East London cycle events. I think we can all feel out of place at times and it was a nice thing to do but anyone who knows me will watch this and laugh because they know this is exactly how i have been my whole life.
If you want to find me ill be out riding my bike.
I LOVE cycling through london and i used to wake up early on a Sunday to ride round The City when there was no one around. Id go as far to say that i know most roads and could easily crush an Ally Cat in London.

Am i the only one who feels this way? I feel more comfortable in my lycra and cycling around than i do stood chatting in the streets of East London. Maybe im just old.

    1. Its amazing how you enjoy sunny days in London. Im from Valencia ( Spain) and we got almost 300 days of sun per year. I think I couldnt ride my bike under the rain like you do. Keep up the great content.

    2. I totally relate to that. Visited Via a few times. It’s a great shop but boy do I feel old in there. At 57 I could be their granddad 👴 I’d love a Standert though to go with my Poc and Maap gear 😏

    3. Definitely understand the feeling. It still feels like there is still so much elitism in cycling. I have been down to Via a couple of times from Hertfordshire and it is an amazing space!

    4. I hate to be pedantic, but Kings Cross has never been in East London. It’s WC1 , bordering N1. ( disclaimer.. I used to live in N1 😊) . The proper hipster cyclists ( strange bunch 😜) are up the road in Hackney, which is indeed East London .

    5. Nice to get the low down on a cool bike hangout in the Big Smoke, and that Ostro in raw carbon is sure the dogs. I hear you though on getting with the social vibe… better out giving it some beans.
