It’s listed as $175. The front suspension needs to be replaced. My question is, do I need to fix that if I’m riding on paved road? I’m looking for a hybrid to ride for my first bike and I have an EXTREMELY limited budget.

No advice, but that looks like it would make for a cool gravel bike.

Watching Seth’s video on that shock really made me think Cannondale should bring it back for gravel bikes.

Need to fix versus *ABLE* to fix. It’s an old Cannondale with proprietary parts. You won’t be able to fix it. There are linear rail needle bearings stuffed up inside the steer tube, it doesn’t share any kind of parts with other brands. Be patient and find a used bike that isn’t a Cannondale. It’s like buying a used Porsche for cheap, good luck with that kind of thing.

Cool bike and a neat note in history, but she’s dead

You might be able to fix that head shock, but it’s going to be a struggle.
