Adam Garrett of Wokingham, was seen necking pints and shots in a bar before he stumbled out drunk and went on to crash his van into three pedestrians. The 26-year-old was four times over the limit when he got into his white Ford transit van and crashed into Chris Redfern, 52, his wife, Cristina Di Carlo, 54, and Jeremy Rowson, 63, outside the French Horn restaurant on the B478 at around 11pm on May 5 last year. #Drink #Driving #vanlife

    1. The staff at the pub should have done more about the events leading up to it. He must have been a regular. The van was in the pub car park. Shocking. The guy was wasted and the arresting officer was furious. Rightly so!

    2. Fair play….couldnt walk but drove OK mostly 😂😂😂😂. Been there done it 1000s of times in 80s 90s and 2000s. Then moved to Thailand where its still a regular practice.

    3. Why have pubs got car parks they should only be allowed for people dining or being dropped off people drinking in the bar should not be allowed to park vehicles in the car park

    4. The person serving him has also broke the law by serving him. Landlords and staff have a duty to refuse anymore drink if the person becomes to drunk

    5. I never drink and drive. Ever. What's scary though is I have had nights where i've drunk so much i havent got a clue how i got home or what happened. I never take a vehicle with me but if i had access to one who knows what could happen. Even if you don't drive, maybe you walk into traffic. Maybe you cause an accident some other way, maybe you harm someone. It's incredibly negligent to drink at all if you know you cannot stop when you start. I stopped drinking 3 years ago.

    6. I often wonder if the bar person serving so many drinks to a man obviously dressed for work could have a vehicle outside and check that he doesn't attempt to drive, not easy I know but it was a quiet bar, should be stiffer sentences and a lifetime ban,I lost an 19yrs old relative killed by a drink driver,he got a 6months ban, when he drove again he killed another lad,17rs old, another 6month ban, this was in the late 70s but drivers still literally get away with murder😡
