Episode 11 – My first visit to the Bodington Circuit for the Rayner Foundation Round 2 Cat 3/4 cycle/crit race held at Brownlee Circuit in Leeds and my first proper crit race. I finished 38th out of 44 starters and looking at the results after making the video, the vast majority were Cat 3, with only around 10 Cat 4 riders, including myself. It was a fantastic experience and I cannot wait to get back there soon.

    1. Hi , the easeist place in that group is right in the middle , where the shelter is ! You seem to be sitting near the back which does not give you much struggle room if the pace goes up . Everytime you go round a corner there is a elastic effect for those at the back , which makes it harder . Get right up there and stay in the first 10-20 riders it's easier . You did well more interval training for you . Ex International , and 1979 Tour Of Kingdom KOM , now 64 lol 🥱

    2. Thanks so much for posting this, I'm looking forward to my first 4th cat race in a couple of weeks with trepidation and it's good to follow your journey and see that getting dropped and lapped isn't the end, it's just the beginning. Keep it up. 💪

    3. Great video …. Never raced that track as from Suffolk , but stick with it the difference as I know between getting dropped and hanging in the bunch is not as great as you think
