Sorry if this is dumb, but the jersey looks a bit loose when I hunch over. Never had a jersey before someone gifted me a TDF yellow jersey. I noticed that other peoples jerseys still look perfectly flat to their stomach when they ride. Is mine a size too big for me? I’ve already bought what I thought to be tight fitting.
Edit: I’m sorry that I didn’t earn the jersey. I’ll never be good enough to earn one. I just cycle for fun. I only thought it looked cool. I like cool things.

Many brands like Rapha have jerseys cut just below your navel (belly button) to avoid bunching.

Do you really want to ride around in a yellow jersey? Or a rainbow stripe one?
I view those as earned rather than something one should buy…

It also looks too loose when you are standing straight.

Just a tip since you said you got this as a gift and it’s too big.
Take it to a tailor and give them a reference image of how you want it to fit. They’ll alter it down to fit you reasonably for pretty cheap.

You will never be big enough to metaphorically fill that jersey

All these people doing fit checks standing up. You’re meant to hunch over. Yes it’s too big. Looks bmxy

I’m 5’11” 170lbs and I’m a medium in a race fit.
This jersey is swimming on you.

You one of them pretend pros or something

Way too big. Should be tight and snug when standing and have some but little wrinkles when in riding position. Having said that, if you are comfortable with the fit, then it doesn’t matter what others say….
