When I walked through Riga the first night, I wasn’t too sure how Nala would like it since it came across as a rather loud city with load of trams, busses, lorries as well as quite a bit of construction work going on as well. But she exceeded my expectations and she was absolutely perfect. She spent quite some time in the bag while we were exploring Riga Old Town and she was happy and relaxed while we went on a wee boat tour as well 😻 I can really recommend the boat tour so if you’re ever in Riga go check it out ❤️

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. Riga is beautiful for a small city and the boat ride was lovely. I wonder what the story is of the cat on the roof? according to what I read it was in the 14th century someone got a snub from some sort of Guild so he erected a cat on the roof of his building an agreement after some time the cat was turned around.
